    Hello everybody!

I'm just taking a break from my work here, can't blog much again. My submission's catching up fast so I will be absent from the blogosphere for the whole of next week.

    Haiz...

It has really been a stressful past few weeks. I recently completed a project where we had to build a 1:1 model of a working mailbox for our Building Constructions module. Sounds fun? I tell you it was hell from Day 1. My group really didn't gel well and everything just went downhill from there. And our mailbox turned out to be the most unstable (it was last seen flat on the exhibition floor... lol...).

Add to that a few drama-mama moments courtesy of moi. I must have blown up so many times that they have even coined the term 'That's so Shazi'. Whatever happened to peace-loving serene Shazi? Well, its uncontrollable nowadays, my temper. Every little mistake or fault will be enough to spark my rage (yes... rage). I can go into a yelling match for hours. I must have sworn more during the past few weeks than when I was in the army.

I stop short at throwing things around though. Now that would be a bigger problem.

Well, one incident in particular was when another group had 'accidentally' used our timber planks and nails. And then the same group had 'borrowed' our L-shaped metal rods and 'forgot' to return it to us. Childish, I know. But can you just imagine if we had not enough planks or rods for our own mailbox? Plus, its really stressful when you think that the most vital parts to your mailbox are missing!

The matter has been resolved now though but I still can't believe the absurdity of the entire incident.

    Haiz...

PS: I think I have been watching too much South Park. Hence the mouth of a sailor.

    Eventful week

What a horrible week it has been! So busy! And I have lost my temper so many times that people are actually 'scared' of that side of me. Well, that's another story (I'll blog about it some other time).

And its not over yet, while its one project down, the mother of all submission is in less than a week.

So busy that I can't sit down to blog much.

But here's something really funny I wanted to share.
You know how warm the past nights have been?
Well, last night was no exception. So I had chosen not to use the blanket.

It grew colder through the night, I guess.

I woke up to find myself wrapped around in (of all things!) my curtain. I had actually pulled down one side of the curtains beside my bed! 'Sleeping me' is so resourceful!

Lol... I put it back up before anyone (especially my mum) found out. She would have definitely flipped.

    Randomness...

To anyone who visits NUS, there's a Ramly Burger stand in Forum (below the Central Library) which sells the best Ramly burger I have ever eaten.

    Firstly its humongous.

The beef (or chicken) patty is thick and succulent (and fattening). The buns are soft and adequately buttered. And the generous serving of cheese melts right into the overdose of mayo, black pepper and chili sauce. Every bite promises an explosion of surprising yet familiar tastes that lingers in your mouth for hours... *drools*

The burger tasted like something that you can get from an exotic Mediterranean or Middle Eastern restaurant even; its that good.

*Drools*... But it costs $3. A bit pricey when you compare it to other food in NUS (even Mac D's burgers are cheaper)...

That word is getting more and more on my nerves...

Its what my tutor says when you ask him any question.
Its supposed to make you think, after you answer your own question.
    Its never definite. Maybe...

And its starting to catch on to my studiomates.

Does it get on your nerves too, the word 'maybe'?

    Maybe...

Does this entry make any sense?

    Maybe...

My tutor screamed at my studio during our session today.

    Like really screamed and shouted.
Those from neighbouring studios 2 to 4 (even some in 5) could hear every single word.

Broke a few models (yours truly's model too). Broke his own pencils in anger (not one but two pencils). Even told us to quit the course.

Haiz... Life as an architecture student. To my juniors out there, if you have an easily bruised ego, think twice about taking up the Architecture course.

I could have sworn I nearly pissed in my pants.

Hmmm... Strange... He usually brings his clutch pencil... not wooden pencils.

It was one of those days when my friends and I were in our studio doing our own things when our studio 'master', Dr Erwin, suddenly popped in.

    Erwin: How's the studio doing?

    Us: Ermm... (...silence...)... Fine...

Erwin: Will I expect a surprise tomorrow?
(the next day was our studio session cum an intensively stressful 'show-and-tell')

Us: Ermm... (unsure... all looking around)

Me: Yes sir... You will be surprised. You will be blown off.

Erwin: (gives me a strange look before walking off to the next studio)

Me: (muttering to myself) shit... Blown AWAY. Blown AWAY.

    Dammit... *slaps forehead*
Note to self: The next time I want to 'suck-up', it shouldn't be that literal.

I am officially a Hero too!!!

I found this at the underground linkway from HarbourFront MRT station to Vivocity.
Of course I couldn't resist striking a pose beside the characters from my favourite show in the world!!!
Hmmm... I wonder what my powers would be... Ultimate cam-whoring abilities?
I had actually stopped the people traffic along the narrow linkway. lol...
It was almost a 'pile-up' lah...
    But its all worth it.
PS: Episode 17 is sooooo sad...

    Fab or Fat?
Bitched on: Friday, March 09, 2007
    Time: 3/09/2007 10:00:00 PM

I just caught the episode of Tyra Banks on her show about eating disorders; 'Dying to be thin'.

She was going on and on about being called fat by some magazines (which showed unflattering pictures of herself in a swimsuit). Add to that horrible name calling: “America’s Next Top Waddle,” “Fat Tyra” and “Tyra Porkchop.”

    So horrible...

Good God, she's retired, isn't she? So what if she's gone less model-thin nowadays? She deserves to eat... no more starving!
Earlier reports had it that she said she was wearing a fat suit. See here. Fat suit to the beach? Girl, you need a better excuse.

I caught the show while I was in the gym just now. Running on the treadmill. Ironic isn't it? Well, I wasn't trying to lose weight, I was just running my buns off (buns of steel might I add...) for my IPPT. In fact, I have been trying to gain weight. To my ideal 60kg... Grrr... Currently I think I'm underweight. I have female friends coming to me lamenting that they are heavier than me...

    Oopps... My bad...

If you want to lose weight, try applying for Survivor (which sucks by the way). What are they trying to prove dividing those two groups like that? Of course the stronger team was going to win.

Amazing Race, now that's a classic show. I will never get sick of the show. Go Amber and Rob!

    Oopps... sidetracked.

    'Perempuan Melayu Terakhir'
Bitched on: Monday, March 05, 2007
    Time: 3/05/2007 11:13:00 PM

That's the most Malay you can get from my blog.
The title means 'The Last Malay Lady' in Malay (Bahasa Melayu).
Its the title of some Malaysian movie a few years ago.

Just thought of it suddenly. Cause I remembered a few years back when one of my Malay girlfriends was making a statement that I won't go for Malay girls. Which is so not true.

And also recently I found myself in this situation where I had to defend the beauty and 'honour' of Malay girls.

To cut the long story short, I overheard someone saying something in Chinese that people thought that this particular someone was Malay at first glance and she said she was insulted. Well, that's what I thought I heard (of course, Chinese isn't my first language, neither is it the second, so I might still be wrong).

Crossed, I approached her (ermm... on SMS... ermm... later that night but still I was quite angry lah) and inquired her about this alleged comment. But she denied it. Maybe I was wrong and she didn't say this. Maybe I could have handled it better instead of saying some quite nasty stuff to her on that SMS.

But if she did say those things, I wasn't going to let it pass. It just goes to show how much pride I have for the lovely Malay ladies out there (ermm... maybe not the minahs). But still, a passing remark might never go unnoticed. Especially, with me.

And let me warn you first.

    With Pride We Lead.

I hate being the 'unofficial' leader...

People just turn to me whenever there's a need for a leader. I know its like shameless to announce this, but in fact, I can't stand this...

Group work, studio work... Whatever work... Why me?

I have my hands full with being the FOC Head and my own studio work, so why choose me again as a project leader...?

The 'Indian' part of me wanna be the 'Indian Chief' and be 'garang'; take up any and every responsibility. But the 'Malay' part of me wanna slack and lepak...

I think I just insulted two groups of people with one 'stone'... lol...

But really, I need a break.

PS: 'Heroes' is really awesome no matter what people say. At episode 15 now. Hehe...
